Fixed term contract – Business Support Officer – 12 months Contract – 34 hours per week.

Your new company
Working within an Educational setting we are looking for a Business Support Officer to assist on a 6-12 month contract to cover Maternity for a client based in Plymouth.
The role is 34 hours per week with a full time equivalent salary of £21,788. Please note this salary is based on a 37.5 hour working week.

Your new role

  • Contributes to the delivery of an effective and flexible service
  • Applies creativity and initiative to resolve less straight forward and unpredictable problems that arise.
  • Engages as a member of external and internal networks to build on-going relationships
  • Responds to requests from service users and provides assistance and advice to team members and service users with sensitivity and tact.
  • Responds to the needs of service users provides a proactive level of input into the provision
  • To keep all records organised, up to date and accurate and all times and be aware of Data Protection regulations. To include auditing of files on a regular basis and to provide reports to management.
  • Works collaboratively with team members, and communicates with service users and staff at all levels, explaining information of a more specialist or technical nature in such a way as to achieve understanding
  • Provides excellent customer service and specialist advice and guidance within an unpredictable environment to enable appropriate solutions.
  • Adheres to safeguarding guidelines.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Thorough with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills and able to work under pressure
  • Able to utilise and manage complex IT systems
  • Analytical skills and solution focused, able to use initiative and solve problems creatively
  • Ability to prioritise and be self-motivated to achieve targets and manage several pieces of work at a time.
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually
  • Excellent administration skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a professional manner.
  • GCSE in Maths & English Grade C or above
