Our client was founded in 1999, and today comprises over 60 great people. We are a growing software business based on the edge of Dartmoor. Our clients range from the public sector (Police Forces and Government) to private sector brands such as Brittany Ferries & Caledonian MacBrayne. Due to continued success the company are looking for an experienced full time New Business Development Manager to join our team here at the Plymouth office.
As a permanent and full time New Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of new business opportunities for the company. You will identify sales leads within our markets, pitching our solutions and services to prospect clients and maintaining a good working relationship with new contacts. You will be responsible for following up new business opportunities and setting up new business meetings. You will plan and prepare prospect client presentations, communicate new product developments to prospective clients and work with the Marketing team on new business campaigns and the creation of sales collateral. You will develop quotes and new business proposal as well as assisting our Bid Writers with new business bids and tenders. You will consistently delivery against agreed sales targets. You will be responsible for researching organisations and individuals online to identify new leads and potential new markets. Attendance at industry conferences, exhibitions and events will be required. You will also play an instrumental part in the wider Sales Team, having key interactions with Account Managers, Marketing and Bid Writers. In this role there will also be an expectation to travel to meetings with prospect clients, event and exhibitions across the UK.
THE ideal candidate:
You will have successful experience in a Sales based role, preferably in selling digital and ICT software solutions. You can demonstrate excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills and have a tenacious can-do attitude. You will be able to demonstrate exceeding corporate goals and targets as well as ownership and accountability for delivering at every stage of the sales process from prospecting to closing deals. You are experienced of influencing senior decision makers and you will have an understanding of Public Sector procurement in the UK
